Description:

Following this course, therapists may offer treatments specifically for lymphatic drainage with practice. The first full weekend of focused learning includes:treatments specifically for lymphatic drainage.

The first full weekend is offered quarterly on the second weekend of each month, in most cases. The Full Course includes:

* Information about the lymph system, including handouts and visual presentations
* Manual lymphatic drainage applications with video
* Mapping the lymph vessels and learning the direction of lymph flow,
including visualization, drawing, and video
* Manual lymph drainage techniques to apply to the entire body, with
handouts and ample practice and question and answer time
* Guidelines for care, including contraindications, relative contraindications,
and indications for care

There is a significant amount of information packed into this weekend, and the majority of time is spent learning hands-on care.

Full courses include: Fridays from 1-6pm, Saturdays from 9am -5 pm, and Sundays from 9 am-5 pm 19 CEs

PRACTICUM ONE SKILL-BUILDING COURSES - ONE DAY COURSE 8CEs
Offered the second Thursdays of each month following the Full Course:

Students who have completed our Lymphatic Drainage Full Course can attend this practicum to expand and refine their hands-on skills. This is a good chance to refine a new technique, and to correct subtleties in the application of the work. Students must arrive with notes on at least 4 lymphatic drainage sessions they have performed since the Full Course, and be prepared to discuss them.

PRACTICUM TWO SKILL-BUILDING COURSES - ONE DAY COURSE 8CEs
Offered the second Thursdays of each month following the Practicum One:

Students who have completed our Lymphatic Drainage Full Course can attend this second practicum to expand and refine their skills, as well as to learn the relationship between the meridians and the lymphatic system. We will learn and practice the application of techniques to address the meridian and lymphatic systems.

NCBTMB approved and valid toward CE hours for an Illinois Massage Therapy License.

Restrictions:

Must be a health professional, including massage therapy, nursing, physical therapy, speech pathology, esthetician, etc. Students not licensed in one of these professions must be pre-approved by the instructor.
